Arrive at B&B on Saturday afternoon


Day 1 Sunday

Utah Beach, Utah Landing Museum, Rommel’s Bunker, St Marie du Mont, St Mere Eglise, US Airborne Museum


Day 2 Monday

Omaha Beach & US Military Cemetery. Omaha Museum. Pointe du Hoc & Carentan (Dead Mans Corner museum)


Day 3 Tuesday

Gold Beach. Arromanches & Mulberry harbour. Musee du Debarquement. British Military Cemetery Bayeux (option to visit Bayeux and the Tapestry)


Day 4 Wednesday

Juno & Sword Beaches. Canadian & Polish armoured divisions. Pegasus Bridge & British Airborne Forces Museum. Café Gondree for coffee and cake!


Day 5 Thursday

Intro to Normandy breakout. Villers Bocage & surrounding tank battles. Finishing around lunchtime to allow plenty of time to make afternoon ferries in St Malo, Caen or Cherbourg.


All routes are flexible depending on the group's interest and can be adapted to include either more or less of US/British sectors, specific actions eg 101stAirborne (as shown in the series Band of Brothers), US 29thInfantry (basis for Saving Private Ryan) or other specific units. For example, recent tours have focussed solely on the Hants & Dorset regiments, Polish 1stArmoured and 2ndSS Panzer and British Glider operations.


Where possible we try to stick to the published itinerary, but things happen and you will be kept fully informed of any changes due to local circumstances, and always offered a choice of options.


Please check the requirements for driving in France, ie beam deflectors, dayglo jackets for everyone on board, 2 warning triangles etc The RAC & AA websites always have up to info on legal and advisory items.
